Fishing on The Rockpools

A newly-built Stroudley G-Class 2-2-2 has been testing her new legs on the Mystic River Traction Company. The engine was built up in the Groton shops over one month, almost as a "Whim" because the shop duties had been very light with the absence of orders for more engines/repairs on the existing ones. (long after the MRTC roster was complete)
with all the original "G" class singles long gone, this brings the famous class back into the world and makes her the only Stroudley G-class in existance.

The Engine, as of last week, has been bought very eagerly by the East Somerset Railway in Britain, and will be shipped over next month. She will steam with her close sister, an E1 0-6-0T of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (also a Stroudley engine).

the little single is quite a good steamer, and her final test was to run a light mail over the standard gauge section of the Rockpool Line.
after this was Done, her engineers decided it was high time to do some fishing off of the footplate.
